2nd XI 2010 Season Review

Written by William Hickman
A new day and age had dawned for the 2’s team of 2010 with the focus for the season being to maintain at least a top half position in the league and blooding as many youthful stars for the transition to hopefully play 1’s cricket in the years ahead. League Champions after sweet victory at Bromley

Written by Riv Monsell
To think that it could all come down to this, the last day of the league season against our long time rivals. Under normal circumstances this game would be massive, especially after losing earlier in the season in a 500+ run thriller. Championies.....

Written by Had Luff
Well done to everyone involved in the title win this year. Saturday summed it up - a fantastic performance and one that sealed victory emphatically.   Special note muct go to the bowlers for keeping things extremely tight, and special mention to Riv who bowled out of his skin and Shojib who left the field smiling, and so he should. Without a drop of food or water during the day he bowled superbly on a very flat track!!   Well done all......   Nosher

Written by Riv Monsell

Last time out at the home fixture they played out for a losing draw and had a few choice words along the way. Typically the Lordswood pitch is one of the better cricket wickets we will play on offering good bounce and carry for the bowlers and coming on nicely for the batsmen making for a good contest between bat and ball. Will lost the toss and Lordswood…
