We had 5 games Saturday & 2 on Sunday

We some terrific results and some fantastic personal acheivements

1s - beat Sawbridgeworth .. 374 v 170 all out.

100 for Zobie Sharif, 50s for Dave Hammond, George Wells - 40s for Aaron Alley & Jahid Ahmed

3s - beat Steatham & Marlborough ... chased 225 for the loss of 4 wickets

50s for Joe Kerridge, Jamal Patterson & Mehdi Abbas

and 4 for Saqib Hussain

4s beat Streatham & Marlborough ... chased down not many

5s lost to Bexley .. all out 160 chasing 200

Mams Uddin nice 33, Mahbubul Alam 35

Meanwhile the 8s registered 20 points for a comprehensive win over OD Cuaco.

Debut 100 for Sachin Kolathai (and 3 wickets) ably supported by Jared Kinght & Dave Parker.

Set 244, OD Cuaco were all out for 164.

The Dutch Master bowling 7-0-29-1

Only one real disappointment of the day was a Sam Tobin no show -- please note.

"I am currently burning down Tesco's" .. is not a valid reason not to play in a game you're committed to.

Sunday.

Another day. Another set of results.

The 1s were playing in the "London" CCC Conference Cup.

So to scenic Shenfield in Essex.

Lovely ground, good people, but a strong north, west, east, southerly wind made it surprisingly cold on a very sunny day.

Blackheath batted first and scored 282 from 45 overs. That's a strike rate of 1.044. Remember; No one cares about averages anymore.

Sharif 32, Hammond 69, Fern 13 (beers), Senn 49, Wells 22, Alley 15 (lagers), Willetts 30, Ahmed 22 & Patterson 35.

Shenfield struggled. Ahmed & Thomas started at a good pace. A little too full for the visiting supporters. But nonetheless fast and effective.

Then Lee and Hands .. Finally Wells and Paul (3 for 14 from 5.3)

All over by 7ish .. all out 132. Job done.

Next round is May 22nd.

The 2s played at Putney. The cards not in yet --

Blackheath 191. rallying from 115 for 6.

Dan Lucas 31.

Lambchops dropped a sitter at mid-off.

Blackheath came a close second. Decent effort for the first game of the year.

This week ... 7th & 8th May

The full Saturday League programme starts.

Pools Panel Predicted result in brackets

How did you do at the weekend ?

How did the newcomers enjoy 1st / 2nd games ?

Made welcome, made runs, made the sandwiches ?

How was it ?

We'll be selling kit from 10am at the Club.

Mike will be leaving the Rectory at 11:15 so between those times and then again after the game.

The first 150 buyers will be served first.
