Well, that' it for another season -- the playing at least

Hope you enjoyed the games and the comradeship

The dinner is in September - Mike has (and will) email the details.

So how did it all end up ?

The 1s.

Finished 6th. Comfortably.

A mixed first season back in the top flight

We are still too fragile batting --- 12 batting points for the year compared to 23 or 24 that would be expected for upper mid-table.

And with a few more runs, we'd be getting more winning points.

We had some good one off scores -- But we had no batters in the league top 25.

However, Jahid Ahmed (30), James Hands (24) and Warren Lee (18) were in the league's top wicket takers

Beating Bromley in May was the highlight.

The 2s.

Finished 2nd. Comfortably.

That's a good effort.

Hayes, Whitstable and Dartford struggled, but the rest were competitive.

And we hammered several of them.

With Hayes being the last to get walloped.

We scored 175 in 16.5 overs. What a great way to sign off.

Will Hickman lead the way - 603 runs at 60. Topping the divisions run table.

Jamal Patterson with 442 was 4th and Tom Slater (420) 7th,

The wickets were shared around - although 21 from Will Hickman showed his all-round ability

Adam Senn (18) and Shojib Ali (18) were notable

The 3s.

Finished 3rd.

Comfortably third. Frustratingly third.

Losing to Bapchild and Chislehurst in May meant an uphill struggle.

Two rainouts against Nonington denied a chance to get plus points against them.

And then Cowdrey. Beaten in the first game -- By the second game, we were 2nd place, just.

A win would be promotion.

Cowdrey out for 79 in 34.2 overs. Soyfur and Mamanur use the new ball wisely.

DC and Jamie M finish off the job.

At 52-4 ... we're 26 short of winning.

6 wickets later -- it's over for another year.

Good effort in a tough league.

The laggard teams are poor, but need beating and rain can play a big part

-- we missed points twice against Bickley Park and a guranteed 20 at Walmer

-- and the top teams have one or two stars that could play and perform way higher

Stiill, frustrating to be 3rd again.

Hamish Purdey lead the way with 483 runs (3rd highest in division)

The Sheffield Turner 291 (21st in division), Richard Fleming 276 (24th) & Joe Ryan 268 (28th) all worth a mention.

Mamanur Rashid was the leagues 10th highest wicket taker with 24 at 12.5 apiece.

Chris Brassington 19 at 14.5 was 13th in the division and Soyfur Rahman with 18 at 11.7 was 22nd.

The 4s.

Finished 6th.

At the top of the mid-table pack.

Getting rained out against Old Colfes cost 6-10 points.

The top 3 were good - the rest all beatable.

The batting was fragile all year.

Rob Bartlett 249 (27th in division) and Vic Kandampully 237 (28th) held it together averaging over 30

On the bowling Predrag Basic made 14th with 20 wickets.

Skipper Mike Bohndiek collected 16 wickets at 18 apiece.

So, overall a good team effort.

The 5s.

Finished 8th.

Just !!

It was touch and go, right down to the last game.

The 5s were hot and cold. Never warm !

But that reflects the strength of the league and the strains on fielding a team in this division.

Remember .. it's on below the 5s. There are 7 1st XI's in there. (The two 3rd XI are from premier 1st XI clubs)

And 1st XIs are more consistent selection. Less likely to be affected by last minute changes Saturday morning.

And 2nd place Shooters Hill were able to add 7 new players this year -- freshening up an aging team in to decent unit.

Anyway. That's why it's tough. And makes the 7 wins very enjoyable.

Rezaul Karim made 24th ion the division scoring with 227. He made second place with his 27 wickets at 12.5 each.

The 6s.

Champions.

Quite comfortably if the truth is know.

12 wins, 3 losses, 3 rained out

Alastair Dunning 367 at 40 leads the divisions run table.

Will LIngard is 6th with 297. Richard Ward is 10th with 250.

Sunil Chandra 204 and James Crutcher 197 were consistent.

Bowling wise, Roland Jack 30 wickets (2nd in league) and Lydon Williams 26 (5th in division) were the pick of the crop.

Phil Hatzidakis would have claimed many more than 14 if he had not broken his arm.

Now, we sit on a promotion slot. To the Kent League -- to play against 2nd XIs round the county.

If we can get a suitable ground this will be an amazing feat.

The 7s.

Finished 8th or 9th.

Next week Beckenham play Hayes.

If Hayes get 11 or more points we will be down.

Who knows what will happen in these late season games.

Another tough league - first year after being promoted, it was interesting to see the strength.

Pete Senyard with 20 wickets was 10th in division ranking and Shazidur Rahman with 15 was 20th.

We had no batters in the top 25.

Some cracking wins and some good days out.

The 8s.

Finished 8th.

Just !

With a last game against HSBC, who knows perhaps we move up a place or two.

Good effort from skipper James Nurton to keep together and keep going a very young side --

which changed too much week to week.

Jon Neal makes it into number 21 for the division with 203 runs at 33.

And James Morrison into number 24 with 14 wickets -- as does Jeremy Nelson

OD CUACO

The 9s.

Finished 6th.

A fine effort, especially as several games they played with 10

Mark Bridle with 296 was 4th in the divisional batting.

David Norrie 265 placed him 6th and his 14 wickets placed him 18th in the bowling list.

Skipper James Coney bagged 14 wickets at 17 to be 19th in the list.

Some fine days in Greenwich Park.

Some fine evenings at The Rectory.

Sunday U21

Finished 4th.

The wash out / non-start game at Bromley was set back.

Otherwise a good year.

The Sundays 2s.

Finished 7th.

Difficult to progress this season as the opposition caught up with us ---

plus, we lost a few of the star performers.

The team is in transition and did well to compete in the games against near rivals.

That's all the league tables.

And the round up

U16a > Joint Winners

U16b > 7th

U15a > Winners

U15b > 5th

U15c > 9th

U13a > 8th

U13b > 8th

U12 > Kent Cup Champions

U11a > Winners

U11b > 3rd

U11c > 9th

Blackheath Women

Finished 2nd.

They play more games than this.

But the league administrator's like to make more work for themselves, so do the league manually.
