Sunday 13 June - a date that will live long in Blackheathh CC Sunday 2s history as Simon Wright hit his first ever league six, winning £50 off skipper Sasi in the process. The long-standing bet has been running for several seasons with Wrighty losing out previously, so that makes them about even for now. Wrighty's pull into the clubhouse wall might have won the money but couldn't quite nick the batting honours for Blackheath, which Sasi earned with a superb 96, before denying himself a century by running himself out. Anyway, we racked up 250, and with Andy Watts, Riv and Fergus (playing his last game for the club before moving to Canada) each bowling superbly, Kidbrooke were never in it. Ferg reminded us how much we'd miss him with a series of unplayable deliveries and was unlucky not to pick up more than one wicket. Riv cleaned up the tail to finish with 5-fer, and we were done 10 overs early, winning by 115 runs or so - which meant we were in the bar in time to see the Australia-Germany game. Can't remember the score of that one though.

Good stuff Wrighty. Well done Riv, I sense the game plan of yours again. Top Knock Sasi, hope the ton comes sooner.
