The Sunday League side continued a good start to the season with a comfortable win away at Shooters Hill. Sasi picked a scorching hot day to lose his first toss of the season and when the scoreboard read 27-0 after 3 overs it looked like we might be in for a hard time in the field. Andy Watts then removed one opener with a ball that kept low while Simon Hudd caused all sorts of trouble with high bounce from the other end. Jamal took a fantastic catch, sprinting round behind the stumps to cling on to a miss-hit which was landing two-thirds of the way to fine leg. Although the Shooters' leading batsman Gleeson was doing well, we kept taking wickets at the other end to get them all out for 130. With unpredictable bounce, Sasi and Jamal approached the small target in the right way, playing plenty of shots. The back of the total was soon broken, though when both were out a little wobble looked on, but Alex Price, Dan Lucas and Simon Wright kept their heads to see us home by 7 wickets and about 20 overs to spare.
