Blackheath Under 13 bandwagon finally hits the road
Written by Seb Slater
After winning a most exciting Kent Cup Final where the pendulum swung more than a Bob Massie Lords spell the Blackheath Under 13 bandwagon finally hit the road for their first away game.We had drawn Kidmore End CC in the South of England ¼ final and Sat Navs were set for a Berkshire Champion club that appeared to be in Oxfordshire! It was a beautiful summer’s day when we all finally arrived at Kidmore End. A wonderful rural setting and a far cry from the back streets of SE London. This was going to be no pushover though; the club immediately…

Blackheath U13B suffered two “no-shows” on Tuesday evening but pulled off a remarkable win with only 9 players. At one stage during the opposition innings an injury in the field reduced the team to only 8-men, but as has been the case in most fixtures this season, we got on with it and still managed to find a way to win the match.
As we go into the last set of fixtures, we are now in a good position for a top four finish, which will be an excellent achievement for a B team playing in a league which includes…

Blackheath CC continued their love affair with the National U13 Cup last Friday evening, when their annual journey to Maidstone for finals night resulted in another win.
Having seen off strong challenges from very competent Addington and St Lawrence teams en route to the Kent County final, the London club’s U13s went into the game with confidence.
Captain Calem Curreen won the toss and elected to set Sandwich CC a total. He and fellow opener Shahed Ali set about laying a solid foundation for the Club as they had done in previous rounds – a foundation made all…

After two successive wins in the space
of five days, and due to the vagaries of the fixtures schedule, Blackheath
U13B’s climbed to the top of Division 2 in the North Kent Junior League
on Tuesday evening. A good win in a tight match against Old Colfeians
U13B, followed an excellent all-round performance at Bexley on the previous
Friday, giving us a record of 3 wins and 1 defeat, enough to reach the
top of the table. However, stronger A teams who are just below us with
a game-in-hand are likely to overtake our points tally before the end
of…

Ben Butcher claimed a hat trick to rip the heart out of Sicup's batting. Finishing with 4 wickets for 8 runs from 2 overs, Captian Butcher's slow bowling coaxed out the middle order to end the game in good time.
Blackheath batted first and scored 131, with good contributions through the card. At the top of the order Will Davy (5) started brightly before pushing a quick single to mid-on. Meanwhile Jack Sheehy (27) at the other end was hitting 4's through mid-off and cover at will. Supported by Afjal Hussain (15) the scoreboard raced on. Despite losing Butcher (9), Harcharan Mudhar…
