Blackheath WCC are an established senior cricket team playing in South London. Playing since 2004, the Club currently competes in the Women's Cricket Southern League, Division 3, but also has plenty of friendlies and the occasional tour. Matches are on Sundays.
All players are made welcome. We have a huge range of experience, nationality, age and ability, and can accommodate all women who want to play cricket and have fun.
Every Monday from early May the women's team holds training and development sessions (fielding practice and nets) from 6.30pm till dark at The Rectory Field, Charlton Road, SE3 8SR, usually with an ECB-qualified coach...with experience of coaching female players. The sessions cater for all levels of player, from County to absolute beginner and are aimed at raising the competitive edge of the whole squad. Cricket kit (eg bats, pads, helmets, gloves) are provided. Wear tracksuit bottoms, shorts or whites, t-shirt and training shoes or spikes.
